Easiest way to learn about Honey Garlic Pork Chops Recipe: This recipe for Honey Garlic Pork Chops is so easy, you won’t believe it when it’s done! This recipe is a quick and delicious way to make pork chops with or without bones. They are fried until golden, then stewed, broiled, or grilled in the best honey garlic sauce.

So many people want this dish that it’s hard to keep up. Since I posted my Easy Honey-Garlic Chicken recipe years ago, I’ve been getting a crazy number of emails asking for a pork chops version. This recipe for pork is one of the best we’ve ever had, so it’s crazy good. Chops that are tasty, juicy, and soft enough to melt in your mouth.

All of it is cooked in a skillet or oven-safe pan, and then the ends are crisped up for a few minutes under the broiler (or on the grill). That last step is really important. Look at how it looks! You won’t be sorry if you serve your family these Honey Garlic Pork Chops.

How to cook pork chops

  • Chops with or without bones can be used.
  • Chops should be seasoned right before they go in the oven so they stay soft and juicy.
  • Before adding the chops, get your heavy-bottomed pan or pot nice and hot.
  • Sear for about 4–5 minutes on each side, until golden and crisp.

When you grill the chops, their juices run into the sauce, making it taste better and give you more of it to serve with your pork.

Pork Chop marinade — no marinating needed!

Melt the butter in the same pan where you browned the pork to keep the flavors in the sauce. Then, add the rest of the ingredients.

Cook for about 3–4 minutes, or until the sauce shrinks down and gets a little thicker. If you cook for too long, the honey will evaporate and you’ll be left with a dry pan. (If that happens, you can just make more sauce to serve with it later.)

Give the pork a lot of the sauce, and then broil or cook it for a minute or two, or until the sides are a little browned.



    • 4 pork chops bone in or out
  • Salt and pepper, to season
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water (or chicken broth)
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar (or apple cider vinegar, or any white vinegar)


  • Set the grill or oven broiler to medium-high heat. Salt, pepper, and garlic powder are used to season chops right before they go in the oven.
  • In a pan or wok, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it is hot. Sear chops on both sides until golden brown and cooked all the way through (about 4-5 minutes per side). Put on a plate and set away.
  • Turn heat down to medium. Melt butter in the same pan, picking up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan. About 30 seconds is all it takes for the garlic to smell good. Honey, water, and vinegar are added. Turn the heat up to medium-high and keep cooking, stirring every now and then, until the sauce shrinks and gets a little thicker, about 3–4 minutes.
  • Put the pork back in the pan, baste it with a lot of the sauce, and broil or cook it for a minute or two, or until the sides are slightly charred.
  • Serve over veggies, rice, pasta, or with a salad and garnish with parsley.
